As the dying Corey transformed into a fog, Azhrun took several steps back with a baffled expression. He looked around him, and to his surprise, disbelief, and confusion, he realized that there was a fog all around him and every other individual and abomination.
As the fog slowly dispersed, Azhrun gazed in the direction of Old Man Poison and Melissa, and just like the Corey he had stabbed and killed, the bodies of Old Man Poison and Melissa also transformed into a fog.
Seeing that no other person transformed into a fog, it only took Azhrun three seconds to realize what was happening.
"An illusion."
Azhrun muttered, his teeth grinding against one another, the veins on his neck threatening to pop, and his hands clenching with so much force that a creaking sound could be heard from the trident in his hands.
"What the hell? It was all an illusion?"
Ryan had a stunned expression as he gazed at the dissipating fog with mixed emotions in his heart.
"That cheating son of a bitch! After doing my best to protect him he does this to me?!" Ryan spat with anger flaring out of his eyes.
He looked around him once again, and then he shifted his gaze to the top of the Eternal Waterfall. He saw Corey glance at him for a second, and without bothering to say a word or react to his gaze, Corey turned around and approached the waterfall.
Old Man Poison and Melissa followed without wasting a single second.
"Damn it!."
Ryan cursed out loud with a thousand thoughts appearing in his mind.
'How is he fine even after he betrayed me? I clearly stated in the system contract that he was not to betray me or deliberately harm me. He has betrayed me but the system did not punish him?'
'How?!'
Just as Ryan was about to lose himself to his thoughts, the space in front of him rippled, and then a golden stone appeared in front of him.

Ryan blinked, not knowing how to react. But as the golden stone fell, Ryan quickly grabbed it before it fell into the depths of the Shattered Sea below.
Still unable to believe what he was seeing, Ryan rubbed his eyes and turned the stone over and over multiple times. He even squeezed it tightly in an attempt to figure out if the stone was a fake, but after doing all of this, there was only one answer.
"I'm out. I no longer have a reason to fight these damn monsters... Peace out."
Without waiting for a response from Azhrun, Kaelan, or the twins, he brought out a paper talisman with runes on it. The runes were similar to the runes of the Shattered Dimension, and at a glance, Azhrun, Kaelan, and the twins knew that Ryan had purchased the talisman in the Shattered Dimension.
A second after he tore the paper talisman, a red light engulfed him and he disappeared.
Silence permeated the group of four for a moment until it was disturbed by the sound of Mira's voice.
"We're also leaving. We'll come back when this place becomes calm... Hopefully, that Tier 2 Runemaster does not harm, destroy, or make it more difficult for us to obtain the treasure in the future."
Mira sighed, and then she held Lyra's hand. They looked down with their eyes closed and prayed.
"Mother Goddess, we pray to thee, please take us away from here to our previous location."

Both their voices sounded out at the same time, and in the next second, a glowing water bubble appeared around them for a moment before vanishing.

Kaelan and Azhrun stared at each other with blank expressions. Azhrun shifted his gaze to the abominations in front of them, and then a second later, he shifted his gaze to the top of the waterfall.
"Damn it." He cursed, and a second later, he turned to a puddle of water, vanishing from his spot.

Kaeran's eyes widened in disbelief, and then he slowly turned to the Abyssal Leviathan, Frost Warden, the Maw, and his feared enemy, the Tentacled Scourge.
"Haah. I'm so fucked."
Without hesitation, Kaeran turned and ran while screaming internally.
