Chapter 155 Since things have come to this, let's celebrate the festival first.
Doctor Doom has always been one of the most dangerous supervillains, posing a greater threat to the universe than Thanos in some respects.
Thanos was ultimately nothing more than a mentally ill man who wanted to sacrifice half of the universe's life to please himself and the Goddess of Death.
The Destroyer, a cybernetic madman who is proficient in both technology and magic, truly wants to hold the entire world in his palm so that everything can operate exactly according to his will.
According to Mr. Fantastic's description, in the future timeline, Doctor Doom has already eliminated all opponents in this universe and has even begun to extend his reach into the multiverse.
One of his main strengths is his overwhelming army of nanobots.
These robot armies can program themselves at lightning speed, mimic any ability, and are virtually indestructible.
Hearing this news left Joey, who had only been in this world for less than a day, feeling completely numb.
"I understand. Well, I have a few more technical details I'd like to confirm."
Joey floated over and picked up the Amozzo Core that had fallen when he was elbowed away by the Thing, then showed it to Mister Fantastic in a final attempt to fight back:
"Those robots you mentioned that can self-program and replicate superpowers, are they technically similar to this thing?"
"How did you manage to do that...!"
Seeing the Amagor Core, whose internal structure had changed after contact with Joey, Mr. Fantastic's previously gloomy expression turned incredulous:
"So the divination incantation in the Book of Vishanti wasn't wrong!"
Undeterred, Joey pressed on, his voice rising eight octaves as he questioned Mr. Fantastic:
"Reed, don't tell me those robots are made of vibranium!"
"I understand, you're not an 'unrelated person'."
Observing Joey's face and expression, Mr. Fantastic finally confirmed one thing:
"You're not Doctor Doom, but you know who the future Doctor Doom will be, right? So who are you?"
How should I answer that?
Joey couldn't think of anything right now, and could only manage a bitter smile:
"I'm just someone passing through your world, grasping at the only straw I have, wanting to seek help."
What could he say?
He was the one who inspired Tony Stark, gave him the information and the physical objects, and enabled him to create an army of Amodrome robots that did not belong to the current era ahead of time.
Is he the culprit who caused the destruction of the universe where Mr. Fantastic resides and the calamity of the entire multiverse?
"He hasn't been exposed to this technology yet, has he?"
Mr. Fantastic also pieced together his thoughts through Joey's behavior and words, confirming that this historical juncture was indeed real. The Joey before him did come from the very beginning of the Doomsday robot army's creation. What was even more surprising was that this technology was not Doctor Doom's invention:
"Please listen to me, you can't..."
Joey interrupted Reed's request:
"Are you saying I can't hand over the technology of the Amozzo robot to him? But what if I have a reason I have to give it to him?!"
If we don't use the Amozo robot technology to rapidly expand our army and strengthen ourselves within a year, how will our other universe, our own universe, withstand the impending war?
How can I possibly withstand the Kryptonians, the Green Lantern Corps, and the impending Darkest Night?
Perhaps Doctor Doom in the future isn't so bad; perhaps he only brings a new order to the multiverse?
No, no.
Joey found himself unable to convince himself.
If that destructive figure was indeed Tony, from the moment he wiped out the Avengers and indiscriminately destroyed the entire city of New York, then it has nothing to do with the word 'order'.
This is absolutely a catastrophe.
Choose your own universe, or Tony's universe?
This dilemma once again tormented Joey.
Why do I still have to face this dilemma of the trolley problem even though I've already become a superhero?
When will my superpowers be strong enough to stop that stupid "whoosh" tram?
There must be other ways....
Joey, his brow furrowed, was troubled by the choice between his own universe and the universes of others, while Reed, whose final attempt had completely failed, had a new perspective.
Reed, realizing this, interrupted Joey's thoughts. Joey, caught in the middle of the situation, was naturally torn between choosing between the two universes.
"No, that's not what I meant. Ever since I made contact with you, someone from the past, the birth of the robot army has become an inevitable historical event, one that cannot be stopped—don't forget the 'grandfather paradox,' you just mentioned it yourself."
The so-called grandfather paradox is an extremely simple causal paradox involving time travel.
When Joey first attempted time travel to save his parents, he was trying to avoid this theory because he didn't know what problems the triggering theory would bring to his adoptive parents and that universe.
The paradox is that a person travels back in time and kills his grandfather before his father was born. Without his grandfather, there would be no father, and without his father, he would not have been born.
In this way, he would never have existed in history.
So here's the question: if he never existed in history, how could he travel back in time and kill his own grandfather?
Mr. Fantastic Reed is facing the same problem: he absolutely cannot stop the birth of the Destroyer Robots.
If the robot army of the future had never been born or existed, then the event of him using the Book of Vishanti to conquer the land and travel through time to meet Joey would not have happened.
So what erased the birth and existence of the robot army?
The complexity and danger of time travel lie precisely in this, especially since what he opened this time was not a time portal in the sense of a 'parallel universe,' but a true time travel within the original universe.
Fortunately, the Fantastic Four have nothing left to lose, so they are willing to try anything, no matter how dangerous.
This space is becoming increasingly unstable, and both sides are about to return to their respective times. Once the Fantastic Four return to their original time, there will only be one option left.
That would be to rally the remaining resistance fighters for a desperate fight against the destruction of the Boulder, a move that would almost certainly result in death, unless someone was willing to do a small favor to give Mr. Fantastic and his companions a chance to survive:
"You have to hand over this technology to him, but you can't just hand it over like that..."
?
"Please, Joey, I can see it in your eyes, you're an absolute hero."
Within the gray-white space, both figures had already begun to shatter, gradually fading out of this paradoxical spacetime that no one should be able to reach, leaving behind Mr. Fantastic Reed Richards' final request:
"To save this universe, and countless future multiverses, from catastrophe, please do as I say."
"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!"
Humming a Christmas carol, Tony, with an innocent, childlike demeanor, climbed out of his cheapest Audi R8 sports car, took the elevator from the underground garage straight to the living room, and pulled out a novel gadget from behind his back:
"Ta-da! Look what I brought you!"
Not getting the answer he expected, Tony rushed out of the elevator and walked quickly forward, finally finding Joey slumped on the sofa in the corner of the living room.
Tony held up his creation and waved it in front of Joey: "Ta-da!"
After a less-than-pleasant meeting with the Fantastic Four, and after calming down for a while, Joey, whose mind was still in a daze, finally realized what Tony had shown him.
They were two bunches of pure metallic roses, deep blue in color.
Looking at the dozen or so roses in his hand, Joey didn't need superhuman vision to see atomic structures to know what Tony had done:
"You used vibranium to create these useless roses?!"
In his extravagance, Tony's genius was almost on par with his scientific achievements.
That palm-sized piece of vibranium ore was valuable enough to demolish and rebuild Tony's seaside villa ten times over, yet he merely used extremely high craftsmanship to recast and carve a dozen or so all-metal roses from it.
"How dare you say my invention is useless?!"
Upon hearing this, Tony vigorously shook one of the large bunches of vibranium roses. Due to vibranium's sensitivity to sound waves, the entire bunch of roses trembled gently in the airflow, producing a deep and mellow overtone like that of a cello.
"Just you wait, once I give this to Pepper, I guarantee she won't roll her eyes at me even once for the next month!"
"This is one of Stark's flirting techniques—something most people could never learn in a lifetime. Go ahead and learn it, bro!"
Since Tony had prepared two bouquets, the other one naturally had its purpose: "Here you go!"
After catching the vibranium flower that Tony threw to him, Joey naturally knew the other's intention: it was a gift that Tony had prepared for himself and Starfire.

Lying peacefully on the sofa, Joey looked at the flowers in her arms, her inner turmoil truly indescribable.
Looking at Iron Man, who was grinning foolishly while holding a bouquet of vibranium roses, it was impossible to equate him with the Doctor Doom that Mr. Fantastic had described as the one who would one day slaughter all superheroes and opposing forces.
Everything that was happening before his eyes made his recently calmed-down mood even more unbearable.
"What's with that expression?"
Tony, with his keen observation skills, immediately noticed Joey's low spirits. He was all too familiar with Joey's bitter and resentful expression.
Before coming to his own universe, he always had this expression in the previous universe:
"Weren't you quite happy just two hours ago? Have you already started missing the daily beatings you get back home after less than a day here?"
"
Not receiving a response of Joey's angry outburst, Tony assumed that the troubles and depression stemmed from a series of crises from another universe. After a sigh, he stepped forward, placed his hand on Joey's shoulder, and patiently comforted him:
"Listen, I know you feel like you have the safety of your planet and even the entire universe on your shoulders, and that burden is probably making it hard for you to breathe."
"But don't worry, we have plenty of time now. I assure you, in the name of Tony Stark and Iron Man, that we will save your universe together."
"And one last thing—"
Tony used a lot of effort to finally get the still-dazed Joey off the sofa, then carried him out the window.
"Now you'd better get your ass off my sofa, get out of my apartment, and have a good Christmas!"
