Chapter 299 Aid from Avalon
Immediately afterwards, the magic sensor embedded behind the target flashed rapidly, and the numbers projected on it jumped wildly, finally settling on a striking value: six hundred.
This number represents the destructive power contained in that Sky-Splitting Slash, which has reached the upper limit that this training device can detect and display. This upper limit is usually used to compare the power of an attack that reaches the level of a level 5 spell.
Li Ang silently put away his wand, ending his training for the day.
With the Windhawk Wood Wand Lv50 providing a 500% boost to both wind and water elements, most of his offensive spells can now reliably reach this level of power.
This means that, under normal circumstances, without relying on the blessing of the Holy Mark, Li Ang's actual combat power has already reached the threshold of a level 5 wizard.
However, Li Ang felt little joy.
Through the narrow window of the training room, he looked out at the gloomy sky. A level five wizard was enough to be a powerful figure and be respected anywhere.
But if the opponent is the End Swarm that obscures the starry sky and devours civilizations, or the Swarm Queen that is hidden deep in the unknown dimension and comparable to the realm of gods—this power is far from enough.
Stepping out of the training room, the slightly cool air in the corridor gave Li Ang a slight boost of energy. He was about to return to his dormitory when he saw a familiar figure standing quietly not far from the door.
It's Ginny.
She seemed to have been waiting for some time, her hands clasped in front of her, her posture still impeccable, but her eyes kept glancing towards the training room door, with a hint of barely perceptible anxiety.
"Ginny?" Li Ang was somewhat surprised and quickly stepped forward. "Did you need something from me?"
Seeing Li Ang come out, Ginny visibly relaxed and immediately curtsied slightly, saying, "Mr. Li Ang." She lowered her voice, her tone carrying a hint of mystery.
"Lady Eve sent me to find you. Someone from Avalon has arrived. They're in Lady Eve's room now."
"Avalon's people have arrived?" Leon's brows relaxed slightly; August's actions were faster than he had anticipated.
Then he looked at Ginny, who had obviously been waiting for a long time, and asked, "How long have you been waiting outside? Why didn't you just call me?"
""
Ginny quickly shook her head and obediently replied, "Lady Eve specifically instructed that you are very busy lately and that we should try not to disturb you during training. I just arrived a little while ago."
She paused, then added, "Moreover—the soundproofing array in the training room is extremely powerful. I can't hear anything from outside, and I'm afraid that knocking on the door abruptly might disturb your spell practice."
"You don't have to do that next time. I won't cause a spell backlash because of a little noise." He said gently to Ginny, gesturing for her to leave the training area together.
"If anything else comes up, you can just call me. Let's go to our advisor's place."

"Yes, Mr. Li Ang," Ginny replied obediently, a small smile curving her lips, and quickly followed beside Li Ang.
The two walked through the tower's corridors and soon arrived at Eve's residence. Li Ang raised his hand and gently knocked on the door.
"Come in." Eve's cool voice came from inside the door, but there seemed to be a hint of impatience in her tone than usual.
Li Ang pushed open the door and entered.
The atmosphere in the living room was indeed somewhat subtle.
Eve sat on her usual sofa, her long, light blue hair cascading down her back, but her usually calm eyes were now slightly narrowed, revealing obvious displeasure as she looked at the guests on the other side of the living room.
They were three Valkyries clad in golden armor, standing ramrod straight, protecting the eight elves in the center. Three of them wore scholar's robes, while the other five were dressed in the practical clothes of artisans.
The two sides had clearly been in this standoff for a while, and Eve obviously harbored deep suspicion and hostility towards these Valkyries who had once participated in her imprisonment and escort.
She barely managed to suppress her anger because of the overall situation of the alliance, but her tightly pursed lips and the faintly cold aura emanating from her body clearly showed her dissatisfaction, especially the fact that these elves had set the teleportation coordinates directly to her private living room.
On the Valkyrie's side, the team leader's expression stiffened almost imperceptibly the moment Li Ang pushed the door open and entered.
Their feelings towards Li Ang were extremely complex, a mixture of awe for his power and an unyielding hatred and fear. It was this human before them who, on the altar of the Tree of Life, had caused the Valkyrie Squad to suffer the most devastating casualties since its inception, and had personally ended the life of the king they had sworn allegiance to. Now, however, they were to face each other as allies, making the atmosphere inevitably awkward.
Upon seeing Li Ang arrive, Eve's eyes flashed with joy, and she visibly breathed a sigh of relief. The Valkyrie captain took a deep breath, forcing herself to suppress her chaotic emotions, stepped forward, placed her right hand on her chest, and gave Li Ang a standard elven military salute.
"Your Excellency Leon, in accordance with the covenant made between His Majesty August and you, the first batch of support personnel dispatched by Avalon has arrived. There are eight in total, including five craftsmen, all of whom are the most skilled masters in crafting the Divine Scepter, and three scholars specializing in ancient history, archaeological excavation, and—the research on the End of Days phenomenon. His Majesty hopes that their knowledge and skills will be of assistance in the challenges you face."
Li Ang glanced at the craftsmen and scholars, gave them a slight nod, and then looked at the Valkyrie captain: "Thank you, Your Majesty August, and thank you all for your escort. Please convey my greetings to His Majesty and inform him that the Wizarding Alliance looks forward to establishing deeper dialogue and cooperation with Avalon."
The Valkyrie captain nodded solemnly: "I will certainly convey your message."
Having completed her mission, she seemed to have no intention of lingering. After bowing once more, she signaled to her subordinates to activate the teleportation beacon they had brought.
Spatial fluctuations arose, and the figures of several Valkyries gradually faded in the rainbow light until they disappeared.
In the living room, only Leon, Eve, and the eight somewhat reserved elven craftsmen and scholars remained. The atmosphere eased slightly, but it was still somewhat tense.
Li Ang then looked at the elves and said, "You've come from afar, thank you for your hard work. Please come with me, and I will arrange temporary accommodations for you."
Upon hearing this, Eve's expression relaxed considerably; it seemed she was genuinely afraid that these elves would take advantage of the situation and settle here.
Leon led the eight elves away from Eve's residence and went straight to his floating workshop. After settling them in, he went to Deacon Seronster's office again and gave a detailed report on the arrival of the elven craftsmen and scholars.
Upon hearing about the "Divine Scepter" and its ability to enable ordinary elven soldiers to reliably cast elemental spells, a sharp glint suddenly flashed in Seronster's usually calm eyes.
