Chapter 1804: Reward
The featureless face of the Galactic Will didn’t change — not that it could. But Ning at least expected the thing to move it around a little. Most humans tried to look away when they thought through things or at least their face’s muscles changed.
But this thing did nothing whatsoever.
"I was hoping you would agree to my request without looking for something in return. I’m afraid I haven’t really planned anything to give you," the thing said. "If you have something in mind, please tell me. It will be easier for me that way."
Ning fell into a thought. A Galactic Will was trying to give him something. That was a big deal. He began wondering what he really wanted.
Truthfully, what he really wanted was to kill this Galactic Will, harvest its energy, and open a portal to another universe. That way, he would unlock Nuclear energy, allowing him to finally unlock all energies.
However, even mentioning the fact that he wanted to kill this thing might make it pull back. Then, he would not get anything.
’To start with, it doesn’t seem that bad a thing yet,’ Ning thought. He didn’t feel favorably upon it since it had taken away his wife and daughter, but it didn’t seem to have an intention of hurting them so he was neutral at the moment.
So, if he could get anything out of this arrangement, he would be happy to do so.
Now, the trouble was, what should he get?
The Energy system was so great at quite possibly everything that Ning didn’t need much at all. So, the only thing he could want was more Energy.
But the system didn’t work that way. Not yet. He couldn’t just get energy just because he wanted it. To have unrestricted energy absorption, he needed to link to a Will.
And it was unlikely this thing was going to give itself up to die.
’System, can I link to systems that haven’t found a host yet?’ Ning asked.
Ning found at least something he could ask for. He just needed to ask for the most random of systems from the Galactic Will that he could then absorb for energy.
That sounded like a nice plan, so Ning proceeded to tell the Galactic Will that.
However, before he actually spoke, he stopped himself for a moment.
’System, is there anything else I could ask from the Galactic Will that could help me right now?’ Ning asked. With how much the system seemed to despise these Wills, he had nearly forgotten to take in its input.
Ning was immediately opposed to that idea. ’I can just stand beside a pulsar and be hit with more energy than I could ever want in just a few seconds. Besides, I’m constantly being hit with radiation anyway. I won’t need that.’
Ning thought about it for a moment. While he did like the idea of not having to be constrained to a spaceship for generations, he had nowhere he wanted to immediately go to.
’No. Is that it?’ he asked.
’Space stones?’ Ning asked. ’Will it know where to look?’
Ning did quite like that idea, but he wasn’t sure if he needed space stones at all. The worst part about Space Stones was that he had nowhere to store it. Since Space Stones occupied the exact same ’space’ as they contain, they couldn’t be stored just anywhere.
’What else?’ Ning asked.
’I can, can’t I?’ Ning thought with quite the fascination. He remembered Genesis and how it had created an entire planet to host its death games. Galactic Wills had enough energy to create a whole planet.
’I might just have to do that,’ Ning thought. ’Unless, there’s something else?’
Ning paused for a moment. ’What?’
’I heard what you said,’ Ning said. ’Is it really possible, without any downsides?’
Ning frowned. ’Why didn’t you tell me Wills could do that? I could’ve asked Emma to help me with that.’
Ning thought for a long moment. This was easily what he needed to choose.
’What amount would a Galactic Will be able to increase my inner world by?’ Ning asked.
Ning failed to grasp the size. ’What’s that in comparison to the sun?’ he asked.
