out of nowhere, sofia showed us something, it was as if it was a spirit rather than a dream weapon, something that was apparently born from within her.
i wanted to inspect and analyze this little guy much more, but right now, we had no time for that!
"please trust me-no, please trust him! it'll work! i... i promise!"
sofia sounded like she had gone mad, but there wasn't much of an option in here.
whatever she was suggesting might be our last resort, dammit.
i mean, i could probably win anyways, but the reactions afterwards wouldn't be good to deal with, and there is a bit too much to risk.
so whatever she had in mind, it was probably better anyways!
"okay... we'll trust you!" emily nodded. "we don't get many options anyways."
"maria is incredibly strong, but even she's struggling..." alma sighed. "please sofia, help us out! i'll do anything!"
emily and alma held sofia's hands, and then, i gave them mine while inside of my transformed, phantasmal body. apparently, this was the only requisite necessary for whatever sofia wanted to do.
forming a circle with sofia in the front, the small floating mechanical heart with angelic wings floated into the middle of the circle. it emanated a bright aura of pure golden and white light, spreading around us.
and then...
flaaash!
threads of light connected us all together, in fact, it connected their dream hearts with my body. i could feel their emotions partially, and also the presences of their dream weapons, manifestations of their dreams, hopes, and even personalities.
"t-this is...?!"
when i realized what this power truly was, i saw the nightmare lord's massive arms rushing towards me, tearing through my ethereal body with his sharp, space-breaking claws! "dieeee!"
boom! boom! boom! boom!
each tearing blows generated explosions through my ethereal body, which was damn annoying. i had to forcefully regenerate, but because he tore through space, that became increasingly hard.
"hahahaha! die! die you...!"
however, as he celebrated my destruction...
rumble!
something surged from within our unified hearts, i felt the dream essence of emily, alma, and sofia fueling my entire body, and my entire being.
their bright light, their hopes and dreams, and their innocence... it changed me, it transformed me completely.
for a moment, as if it were a curse, the darkness that made me who i was disappeared completely, my entire body was remade out of glistening light.
copper and gold colored armor covered on spikes materialized around my body, reinforcing my strength and durability.
i felt my entire body being washed by the cold and refreshing waters, as my hair became long azure spirit water.
then, a mechanical heart started beating faster, infusing itself into my entire being, replacing my heart itself.
"yes... this is what it is!" sofia said. "after i finally accepted you... after i finally apologized... my new power is... to rely on my friends and combine our strength? so damn corny..."
sofia started crying tears of happiness, as i noticed her body size had gone back to normal as
well.
"you're back to normal too!" emily cried happily.
"yeaaah!" alma nodded.
the girls were inside of a metallic chamber within my chest, which connected their dream
hearts directly with sofia's strange "spirit" and then me.
it was really like they were piloting me but...
i kind of like that!
"alright girls, ready for round two?!" i asked them. "we're beating this bastard, and then
we're getting out of here!"
"yeeaah!"
the trio roared in unison, cheering alongside me.
their dream essence flowed into my body, empowering my new transformation.
"whatever form you took... it doesn't... fucking... matter!!!"
the nightmare lord roared, distorting space itself and appearing in front of me, his massive
space-distorting claws rushed down.
"die!"
claaash!
"you've gotten very sluggish, huh?"
however, i intercepted his space-distorting claws with a huge weapon.
a combination of anubis scythe and alma's staff with emily's armor.
a huge golden bident!
azure waters swirled around it, and then large quantities of electricity erupted as i swung the
bident towards the nightmare lord's chest.
crash! crash! crash! crash!
"w-what?!"
his body was taking damage once more.
