#576 - Tang Seng: Report, I want to eat Shura Mie Tian Dan

Two peerless pills shimmered with dazzling light under the sunlight.

Especially the red pill, it was filled with baleful aura. Just holding it in Chu Hao's palm, one could almost hear the roars of Asuras and the wails of the common people!

The other blue pill, however, looked ordinary. Even Tang Sanzang didn't bother to glance at it.

Tang Sanzang was extremely excited, looking at Chu Hao in shock,

"Great God of Hell, what treasures are these two pills!"

Chu Hao smiled slightly,

"The blue pill is a Pillar Pill; the red pill is an Asura Heaven-Destroying Pill!"

"These are pills I refined myself. Choose one to take."

Tang Sanzang was overjoyed upon hearing this,

"Ah! A down-to-earth name like Pillar Pill is naturally not for me! This humble monk wants the red pill!"

"Without you needing to explain, if this humble monk takes this Asura Heaven-Destroying Pill, wouldn't it be easy to attain enlightenment as an Asura, seize the scriptures, and succeed with ease!"

Tang Sanzang was extremely excited. The Bodhisattva wouldn't give him treasures, so he would get them from the Immortal Sovereign!

If Buddha doesn't save me, the Immortal will!

Tang Sanzang still resented Guanyin Bodhisattva for giving the protective Dharma treasure and three hairs to Sun Wukong.

That old woman is definitely biased; she just doesn't want this humble monk to have any benefits!

However, even if you don't give me anything, the Immortal Sovereign is fair, just, compassionate, and will give me the means to increase my survival ability.

Asura Heaven-Destroying Pill, just hearing the name, Tang Sanzang knew this pill was incredibly awesome.

He guessed that taking it would lead to a meteoric rise and boundless power.

However, just as Tang Sanzang reached out to take the pill, a light suddenly shone in the sky.

Guanyin Bodhisattva finally couldn't stand it anymore and jumped out hastily,

"Stop!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva's angry shout startled Tang Sanzang.

Although he had just cursed her as an old woman, Tang Sanzang still decided to treat the Bodhisattva with respect.

Tang Sanzang put his palms together, "Bodhisattva, what's the matter?"

Chu Hao also looked at Guanyin Bodhisattva with interest.

Chu Hao really wanted to know, wasn't she embarrassed?

She had just finished putting on an act and ran away, and now she was forced to jump out again. Did she really think no one knew she was monitoring the Journey to the West by running back and forth like this?

Guanyin Bodhisattva obviously didn't plan to dwell on that little matter.

She pointed at Tang Sanzang and shouted angrily:

"Tang Sanzang, you are a cultivator; you must not take such a forbidden pill!"

"This kind of pill, just hearing the name, knows it is an evil pill, destroying humanity. As a disciple of Buddhism, if you take this, you will surely fall into the demonic path!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva wasn't just trying to scare him.

But the key was this red pill!

Guanyin Bodhisattva felt a great sense of unease from it!

The pill seemed to be entirely condensed from baleful aura, terrifying to the extreme!

Guanyin Bodhisattva even felt that this pill might have been made by directly refining a powerful Asura, otherwise, it would never be so terrifying!

If Tang Sanzang took this red pill…

The consequences would be unimaginable!

Guanyin Bodhisattva also remembered Tang Sanzang's madness during the Water and Land Dharma Assembly, pressing her to the ground and beating her.

That was also the first time Guanyin Bodhisattva had been beaten in the face by a mortal, and a highly virtuous Buddhist monk at that.

She absolutely couldn't let Tang Sanzang get this pill!

At that time, Tang Sanzang disagreed!

"Bodhisattva, you are so unreasonable!" Tang Sanzang shouted angrily.

Guanyin Bodhisattva looked at Tang Sanzang coldly, "What, do you have something to say?"

Tang Sanzang said angrily,

"This Asura Heaven-Destroying Pill can improve this humble monk's cultivation and greatly increase this humble monk's chances of survival, which is a great help to our journey to the West!"

"Why won't you let this humble monk accept such a great act of kindness?!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva's eyes were cold, and she said condescendingly:

"As a Buddhist monk, you should be peaceful. This pill will only make you fall into madness and taint you with demonic nature."

"The Journey to the West requires you to measure the earth with your own feet. This is the karma you planted in your previous life. In this life, you should be honest and obtain the scriptures."

Tang Sanzang didn't listen at all and shouted angrily:

"What's wrong with me having more survival ability?"

"Could it be that you only want face, wanting me, a burden, to go on the road, just wanting me to suffer some torment, so that this Journey to the West seems more arduous!"

Guanyin Bodhisattva's expression changed drastically, and she scolded:

"Bold! Tang Sanzang, don't forget your original intention!"

"Taking the scriptures in the Western Paradise is your grand vow made before the Buddha. You should go there piously. Obtaining them through shortcuts will lead you into heterodoxy."

"On the way to the West, you already have many disciples guarding you. If there are calamities, you should try to overcome them, instead of relying on external forces."

"You must know that the Journey to the West has the protection of all Buddhas. Do not be tainted by the mortal world, sincerity is the key."

Tang Sanzang was very unwilling, but he gritted his teeth and said:

"I am well-versed in the scriptures. My Buddha is compassionate, without self-image, without sentient being image! Buddha and Demon should only be judged by whether they commit sins, not by what methods they cultivate!"

"Since all beings are equal, even demons and Asuras, if they can sincerely yearn for Mount Ling, they will be liberated!"

"Moreover, this humble monk is summoned by the Buddha to go to the Western Paradise to seek the scriptures, so what's wrong with being an Asura!"

Tang Sanzang was, after all, someone who could give lectures at the Water and Land Dharma Assembly. His understanding of Buddhist scriptures was actually higher than most people.

The scriptures told Tang Sanzang how compassionate my Buddha was, how tolerant we were, and that Asuras and demons could all become Buddhas.

But now, he just wanted to use some other power to protect himself, and in essence, it was still for the Journey to the West, for the benefit of the Western Paradise.

Even that wasn't allowed!

"Speak! Bodhisattva!" Tang Sanzang was unwilling and roared again.

"I said no, and that means no!" Guanyin Bodhisattva was unwilling to argue with Tang Sanzang any further.

The words of the Buddhist scriptures can only exist in the Buddhist scriptures and cannot be reflected in reality.

Even Guanyin Bodhisattva herself knew that those things were outrageous, but they were just things that depicted a void world and catered to the inner desires of mortals.

If Tang Sanzang were to obtain this Asura Heaven-Destroying Pill, not to mention how strange it would be for an Asura to obtain the scriptures.

Moreover, if there wasn't a Tang Sanzang who was powerless to truss a chicken to set off the eighty-one tribulations, how would the preciousness of my supreme Buddhism be highlighted?

Furthermore, since heaven and earth had destined that Tang Sanzang was the person to face this calamity, if Tang Sanzang couldn't remain pure, how could the Western Paradise obtain the merits of this great calamity?

Therefore, Tang Sanzang must not possess the power to transcend suffering.

Guanyin Bodhisattva didn't answer Tang Sanzang but turned her attention to Chu Hao.

But Chu Hao had a playful look on his face.
