#1657 - Call, and then communicate

Guanyin Bodhisattva was also a wise person and saw through Jiutou Chong's little schemes. She knew that Jiutou Chong was wary of the Western Heavens, but Guanyin Bodhisattva couldn't do anything about it.

Regarding the upcoming Hell God Chu Hao, if they couldn't obtain the relic, then the calamity of the Kingdom of Jisa would likely be insurmountable.

Guanyin Bodhisattva's face was unsightly, but she stared intently at Jiutou Chong, threatening:

"Jiutou Chong, I don't care what you're thinking, but if you dare to do anything detrimental to the Western Heavens, we of the Western Heavens will never let you off!"

Jiutou Chong repeatedly nodded obsequiously,

"Yes, yes, yes, I certainly understand. I naturally wouldn't dare to ruin the great affairs of the Western Heavens, but I really didn't expect the Nielong clan to die so quickly!

This matter is absolutely an accident and has nothing to do with me. But now that the Hell God is about to arrive, I don't have a relic in hand, and I'm afraid it will be difficult to deal with him!"

Jiutou Chong was also a clever little devil. Using the matter of the Hell God, he instead made a request to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Guanyin Bodhisattva's face immediately became somewhat unsightly as well,

"What do you mean?"

Jiutou Chong smiled awkwardly,

"Bodhisattva, you also know that I really have no way to produce such supreme treasures. Moreover, my Nielong brother also doesn't know where he hid the things.

I really don't know where to find enough treasures in a short time to delay the Hell God. You also know how fierce that Hell God is. If I can't hand over the treasures, my life will even be threatened!

My little life isn't worth much, but if I die, I'm afraid the relic won't be found, causing the Western Heavens to suffer an unexplained loss!"

Within Jiutou Chong's obsequiousness was an invisible form of upward management.

Guanyin Bodhisattva's heart was burning with anger, but she couldn't afford to dwell on it any longer because she sensed Chu Hao's aura approaching.

Just as Jiutou Chong said, according to Chu Hao's personality, if he couldn't obtain the relic, he probably wouldn't let the matter rest today.

Seeing Guanyin Bodhisattva's appearance, Jiutou Chong quickly patted his chest and guaranteed:

"Great Master Guanyin, please rest assured. I, Jiutou Chong, have always been a person of firm will, unafraid of powerful forces. No matter how arrogant that Hell God is, I will definitely protect the property of the Western Heavens!

You're not giving me this relic for nothing. It's a loan, and I will definitely not mess around with it!"

Jiutou Chong was acting righteous and unyielding.

Guanyin Bodhisattva was slightly relieved. Lending it to him now meant that as long as Chu Hao didn't immediately force Jiutou Chong to admit defeat and beg for mercy, and as long as Jiutou Chong could handle Chu Hao's first attack, there wouldn't be any problems.

Later, they could just have Jiutou Chong go out and search properly, and everything would be fine.

Fortunately, it was just a loan. Normally speaking, they shouldn't lose both the lady and the army, right…

Although Guanyin Bodhisattva still had a hint of vigilance in her heart, there was no time left. She could only leave a harsh warning:

"Jiutou Chong, if you lose, just use the excuse of borrowing it to the Nielong clan to make the Hell God retreat in the face of difficulty, do you hear?

Jiutou Chong nodded repeatedly,

"Of course, of course. I certainly won't let the Hell God easily take things from my hands!"

Only then did Guanyin Bodhisattva hurriedly leave.

As for Jiutou Chong, he looked at the relic in his hand and fell into deep thought.

"Hmm, this seems to be even better than the previous relic."

However, Jiutou Chong was a sensible person. He knew that with his strength, it was impossible for him to possess this thing.

No matter how eloquent he was, if it wasn't his, he didn't have the qualifications to own it.

However, this didn't mean that Jiutou Chong couldn't use this thing to do something…

Jiutou Chong took the relic and returned to his small cave, pondering how to maximize his benefits from it.

Just as Jiutou Chong was pondering, he heard a rumbling sound coming from afar.

It was Chu Hao riding his divine beast, descending upon the scene. Behind Chu Hao, the four members of the pilgrimage also arrived.

"Boss, this small cave in front looks dilapidated. Could that little loach be hiding inside?"

Zhu Bajie's voice was full of disdain.

Chu Hao narrowed his eyes and nodded.

"Probably. That place is filled with a filthy aura."

Xiao Qiong was puzzled and said:

"It doesn't seem like a descendant of the Nielong clan, but rather a branch of the Nielong clan. It's probably just a subspecies."

Chu Hao twitched his lips. Although that was the case, the Nielong were already a subspecies of the Shenlong clan. Jiutou Chong, a subspecies of a subspecies, really didn't inspire any expectations.

"Wukong, go knock on the door," Chu Hao said casually.

Sun Wukong was eager to show off his skills. The Nielong were too strong for Sun Wukong, but a subspecies of a Shenlong subspecies was just right.

"Jiutou Chong, come out and fight with your Grandpa Sun!"

Sun Wukong enlarged his golden cudgel and directly thrust it into the cave.

Before long, a man rushed out angrily.

He wore a battered silver helmet, shining like white snow; he was clad in a suit of chain mail, gleaming like autumn frost repelling the enemy. He wore a brocade robe, truly like colored clouds enveloping jade; a rhinoceros-patterned belt was wrapped around his waist, indeed like a flower python entwining gold.

"Who dares to act wildly in front of me!"

Sun Wukong laughed,

"You villain, didn't you send two fools to guard me on the pagoda? Why do you look like you don't recognize your grandfather?"

Jiutou Chong frowned, but said annoyedly: "Where is your home? Where do you come from! How did you get to the Kingdom of Jisa, and guard the pagoda with that king, yet dare to capture my subordinates, and dare to act fiercely, demanding a battle on my precious mountain?"

The pilgrim cursed: "You thieving monster, so you don't recognize your Grandpa Sun! Your Grandpa Sun is the Great Sage Equaling Heaven who wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace!"

Jiutou Chong, hearing this, sneered slightly: "So you are the monks of the scripture seeking journey, minding unnecessary affairs! I stole his treasure, you seek the Buddha's scriptures, what does it have to do with you, that you come to fight!"

Sun Wukong glanced at Chu Hao,

Chu Hao nodded, "Confirmed, let's fight, we'll communicate after the fight."
